Turbo Sit and Go’s are the same as regular Sit and Go’s except that the blinds go up much more quickly. There are different varieties of turbo Sit and Go’s, such as turbos and ultra turbos. Different poker sites name turbo Sit and Go’s different things, but they all operate in the same way. Regular turbo tournaments are usually just a bit faster than a regular Sit and Go. These are good for multi tabling players because it means that they can squeeze more tables in without as much time as would be needed for a regular speed Sit and Go. The reason that regular turbos are good for multi tables is because it still allows the opportunity for players to still use some strategy in their games. They move quickly, sure, but not so quickly that all strategy needs to be eliminated.

Super Turbo Sit N Go Strategy

Super turbos are a step up from regular turbo Sit and Go’s. These Sit and Go’s move a bit faster than regular turbos and are much harder to keep up with if you plan on multi tabling. The strategy in super turbos is not too involved as it becomes more of a game where players either shove or fold their hands.

There isn’t much of an opportunity to really make moves on other players because your stack will dwindle so quickly. After just 10 minutes you will see players shoving their stacks with all kinds of weak hands. As poor as this strategy may sound, it is actually quite optimal in these types of Sit and Go’s.

Ultra Turbo Sit n Go Strategy

The final type of turbo Sit and Go is an ultra turbo. Ultra turbos move incredibly quickly and leave next to no time for any type of strategy whatsoever. The only strategy that is involved would be one of two options, push or fold. If your hand is moderately decent, push your stack all in, but if your hand is weak you should just throw it away. There is no middle ground when it comes to hand selection in an ultra turbo tournament because there is just not enough time or chips involved. The blinds are going to be so high relative to stack sizes that players won’t even be able to make a raise before all of their money is gone.

Even if you do make a raise where your entire stack is not involved it will probably mean that the vast majority of your money is at risk. If you brick the flop you will be helpless. There won’t be enough chips left for you to make any kind of play to take away the pot, so you might as well shove them all in pre flop. When you commit to risking your stack all at once pre flop you will have some added fold equity. You lose this fold equity if you elect to make a smaller raise, and there is no space for lost value in an ultra turbo Sit and Go. Don’t wait too long for a spot where you want to play for stacks. Your money will evaporate from the blinds alone if you sit around for too long. It is better to take a chance at doubling up with a poor hand than to just have your chips taken away.
